What types of tour guides are there in Sri Lanka?
There are four licensed categories: National Tourist Guides, who can guide anywhere in the country; Chauffeur Tourist Guides, who drive and guide; Area Tourist Guides for a particular region; and Site Tourist Guides for a particular site. You can book all four on ANYLK.
How much does a tour guide cost?
Each guide sets their own half-day and full-day rates. You see the price in the app before you book.
How do I pay my guide?
You pay a small advance from your ANYLK wallet when you book. The rest is paid to the guide on the day, in cash or from your wallet.
Can I find a guide who speaks my language?
Yes. Each guide's profile shows the languages they speak, so you can choose one who speaks yours.
What if my guide cancels?
If the guide cancels, your advance is refunded to your ANYLK wallet. See our Refund Policy for all cases.
How far in advance should I book?
You can book up to two hours before the start time, but booking a day or more ahead gives you the widest choice.
